There were already exhibitions about the Beatles in the GDR and in larger cities. But when looking for a new location  for a proper, large ''Beatles museum'', only Zerbst and Halle came into closer consideration. These campaigned for a non-subsidised cultural institution. In the end the museum which now comprises three floors wasn't opened until the 8th April 2000 but has since established a reputation as great tourist attraction and cultural institution. Go back to the 60s and indulge in memories, which will be accompanied  by music and films of the time.
